About Me

A resident of Covington, La. since 2002, I am an Indiana native. I have enjoyed manipulating my voice for comic effect since my first childhood play, graduating to a sexy timbre as a college radio DJ.

My sound is crisp, neutral, and intelligent. I am comfortable with a clear, urban Midwestern voice or warm, mid-South and Deep South voices. I have practiced mimicking the fascinating characters I've met traveling and through a career in the arts and can affect various mid-Atlantic and East Coast accents, whether nasal, reedy, breathy, or urban. I have practiced a drawling southerner, a bouncy California girl, and have developed a convincing Essex girl (British). I am comfortable speaking Spanish and German and have studied Greek and Latin. I have acted onstage at Playmakers Theater of Covington, La. and Franklin Co. H.S., Brookville, Ind.

Voice work aside, I promote Louisiana's Northshore with the communications team at the St. Tammany Parish Tourist Commission. I am a consultant for arts nonprofits, providing assistance in organizational development, grant writing, fundraising and publicity. I am also a visual artist, exhibition producer, and community volunteer.
