About Me
I have always been interested in words, and have been a writer all my life. As an extension of this, I became involved in voice acting in Las Vegas, where I was a member of "The Talent Pool" run by my voice mentor and coach, former Hollywood TV actress Betty Lougaris (this was my inspiration for NOLA Voice Talent and the NOLA Voice Talent Pool). For me, among the highlightsof my voice-over career are a 'behind the mic' performance as part of the Talent Pool at Mandalay Bay Hotel/Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, and a number of apearances on KLVX-TV Channel 10, presenting "An Evening of British Comedy". Not forgetting, of course, having the honor of producing, directing, and performing in the annual NOLA benefit radio-play of It's a Wonderful Life. A most enjoyable highlight is coaching, and I have even helped some American actors in speaking "British English"; while I have acted as a consultant and editor to American writers. Hi Stephan thanks for listing me on the new site!! I've been traveling for the Holidays and finally home getting back into work mode. I just listened to your demo, you have a great voice!! Very distinctive and great dialects!! Keep it up!! I look forward to meeting everyone at the meetings.
Good job, mate! NOLA needs more focus on VO talent. There is quite a lot of acting talent hereabouts and they should be utilised more. I look forward to meeting you - I had the time wrong for the last meetup in NOLA and left the venue after a half hour wait as I had no phone numbers to check... no harm, no foul. I'll be at the Jan workshop if I'm in Louisiana, which I'm not certain of at present.
