Gretna Cultural Center for the Arts

Rehabbed from the former Gretna Main Post Office at the intersection of Huey P. Long Avenue and 4th Street, Gretna Cultural Center for the Arts incorporates a full theater/showroom in place of the mail sorting hall and has retained its magnificent period lobby.

The building is now preserved as an historic landmark, purchased by The City of Gretna with financial assistance provided by Jefferson Parish.

Exterior restoration was completed in 2008 and all interior renovations need to convert the building into a cultural center for the arts were finished in 2016, with the center enjoying its opening night in that September.
