Broadcaster Angela Hill receives
Top NVT Award
in recognition of her talent and commitment to the movie, theater, broadcasting, and voice-over industries in Louisiana

New Orleans broadcaster Angela Hill has been awarded the 2014 NVT Louisiana Star Performer Award for her outstanding and significant contribution to the Performing Arts Community in Louisiana.

The award was announced at the second annual NVT Awards ceremony, held on Saturday November 29th 2014 before an audience of significant members of the movie, theater, broadcast, and voice-over industries in Louisiana, at the Deutsches Haus in Old Metairie.

Also nominated for the award, by people from the entertainment industry around Louisiana, were: Mae Chapman, casting director, and Diana Boylston,  SAG-AFTRA Local Board Chair

Organized by The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, The NVT Awards (nicknamed The Envies) are a ground-breaking feature of the Performing Arts and Entertainment industry in Louisiana, and have been introduced to recognize the talent and commitment to the industry made by individuals to the benefit of the community.

The 2014 ward was presented on behalf of Angela Hill to Karlin Tessier, a leading voice-over talent in New Orleans, by The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation Founder and Executive Director Stephen James. In his presentation speech, James stressed the importance of giving and of mentoring youth as being key to the continuing success of the entertainment industry in the state. This year's winners:

NVT Louisiana Star Performer Award - Angela Hill
...to recognize an individual who has made an outstanding and significant contribution to the Performing Arts Community in Louisiana, whether in the movie or theater industries, broadcasting, or voice-over. Nominations were invited from the Performing Arts community throughout Louisiana, with Angela - a New Orleans broadcaster for over 40 years and currently a presenter on WWL Radio in New Orleans - being the most popular choice.

NVT Junior Performer Award - Dylan DePaula

Dylan's involvement in a previous production of NVT's "It's a Wonderful Life" proved to be a catalyst in Dylan's recent success as a performer, as he has gone on to star in numerous movie roles, not least of which was as the younger version of Will Farrell's character in "The Campaign".

NVT Cast Award - Bill Lee for his outstanding contribution to the Programs and Productions of the NOLA Voice Talent Foundation and thus to the community, notably his role as George Bailey in every year's production of the annual  NOLA Voice Talent Benefit Production of It's a Wonderful Lifeto benefit New Orleans and region non-profits. This year's 2014 appearance was Bill's sixth in the production.

NVT Most Valuable Performer (MVP) Award - Lisa Fuller

Lisa was adjudged to be the member of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation who had made a most significant contribution to the Foundation and thus to the community, over the past year.
