Mae Chapman receives Top Award in the 2015 Louisiana
NVT Awards ceremony
"In recognition of individual talent and commitment to the movie, theater, broadcasting, and voice-over industries in Louisiana"
Mae runs her casting company, Mae Chapman Casting, out of Lafayette, LA., and received the award in recognition of her talent and significant commitment to the movie, theater, broadcasting, and voice-over industries, in Louisiana.
Speaking of her award, Stephen James, Founder and Executive Director of the The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, and Awards organizer, said, “Mae is an exceptional human being and works to the highest level of professionalism in running her day-to-day business. In addition to military service, Mae also works diligently on behalf of the church, as well as organizing meetups, workshops, and other functions for and on behalf of the performing community.
“She is a credit to Hollywood South and to the community in general, and well-deserving of this top award.”
The annual NVT Awards are organized by The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation in recognition of individual talent and commitment to the movie, theater, broadcasting, and voice-over industries in Louisiana. This year’s ceremony was held at Deutsches Haus in Metairie, LA., and was M/C’d by Los Angeles’ leading internet radio-show host, Brian "The Hammer" Jackson, who flew in to New Orleans from L.A. especially for the event.
The ceremony featured Louisiana acting coach and former Hollywood actress Veleka Gray as keynote speaker, with New Orleans celebrity comedian Johnny Rock as the guest performer.
“The appearance of Brian Jackson as Master of Ceremonies is a major coup for the annual NVT Awards. Brian’s willingness to introduce the event means that the NVT Awards ceremony has now become recognized by the “original” Hollywood as the major social event of the year for the burgeoning Hollywood South”, added Stephen James, who also produced and hosted the event.
