IAWL-2016 The Venue:
The Gretna Cultural Center for The Arts

The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation is delighted to collaborate with The Gretna Cultural Center for the Arts in this EIGHTH year of our annual benefit production of "Its a Wonderful Life.
Rehabbed from the former Gretna Post Office at the intersection of Huey P. Long Avenue and 4th Street, the center incorporates a full theater/showroom in place of the mail sorting hall and has retained the magnificent period lobby.

The building is now preserved as an historic landmark, purchased by The City of Gretna with financial assistance provided by Jefferson Parish.

Exterior restoration was completed in 2008 and all interior renovations need to convert the building into a cultural center for the arts were finished in 2016, with the center enjoying its opening night in September.

Remarked Stephen James, Founder and Executive Director of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation: "The City of Gretna, located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River, has become a burgeoning center for arts and cultural activities over recent years. It is fitting that this year's production of "It's a Wonderful Life" should be part of the center's inaugural program of Christmas festivities."
